HQX Morse Code practice software

The HQX Morse Code practice software is recommended by the HTC for learning telegraphy. It is suited for both beginners and those who are more advanced. Besides listening practice, it is also possible to practice keying. The HTC uses this software for its Morse Code training broadcasts every Monday night. Many practice texts are retrieved from the program's own database so you can start learning right away. With the HQX Morse Code practice software you can also take the exam for the HTC Morse Code certificate. Finally, and very important, the software is a living entity so upgrades are always possible

·       Learn to copy and send Morse Code using audio and keying practice
·       Keyboard activation (by hitting a key on the keyboard, the corresponding Morse Code character is sent through the speakers)
·       Sending of practice sessions in CW with automatic speed control (text macros)
·       For keying through the software, an RS-232 interface and a simple circuit (transistor or optocoupler) are necessary
·       Export of training sessions as timing or as audio files (*.wav)
·       Arbitrary selection and sequence of the characters (important for the Koch method)
·       Automatic replacement of characters with umlauts or accents, e.g. ä = ae, é = e (can also be deactivated)
·       Option: Increase in the space between characters and words (Farnsworth method)
·       Speed: 20 - 200 characters/min (4 - 40 wpm)
·       Tone frequency: 400 - 1200 Hz
·       Tone quality: Pure sinewave or sinewave with harmonics
·       Tone quality: Hard, medium or soft keying (attack/release)
·       Adjustable dash/dot ratio
·       Option: Continuous display of the words or groups being played back
·       This enables, for example, advanced hams to work on "copying in their heads" without the need to write down the received text
·       Audio practice with random groups of 2 to 5 characters
·       Audio practice with random text passages (import of the user's own text is possible)
·       Error display during audio practice (for this, the received characters must be entered through the keyboard)
·       HTC Morse Code exam (test files can be saved and sent via e-mail)
·       Keying practice with a straight key or paddle (software keyer)
·       Connection of straight key or paddle through a PC mouse interface or an RS-232 interface
·       Recording of keying practice (recordings can be exported as timing data)
·       Playback and/or decoding of recorded keying practice sessions
